The newest member of our family

It all started when we baby sat our neighbor's fish "Chrissy" for a week. The kids loved feeding the fish and Meadow would bring her toys to show to Chrissy. Parker has wanted a pet for a while now and a beta fish seemed to be the perfect, easy pet that he wouldn't be allergic to ;) So we headed to the pet store and they picked out this little fella. What did they want to name him? Chrissy of course. Later in the day Parker changed it to Sherlin (like Merlin), then Sanyu, then Sandler. Finally Sherlin stuck. Welcome to the family Sherlin!

P.S. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Winters

What a pretty fish! Has it developed an identity crisis, yet?

We had a beta for about 3 months (this was about 2 years ago). I don't know why it didn't make it longer? We cleaned the tank regularly, etc. That is my main problem with fish...cleaning the tank! eww! Also, the food smells like fish! It is worse than the tank, LOL!

Wishing you many wonderful years with Sherlin! And, congrats for avoiding the dog. We are avoiding the dog as long as possible!

Sherlin is a perfect name for a fish (hopefully somebody named Sherlin doesn't read this and get offended).
Did you take that picture? It's beautiful!
