So funny! When we first moved here, my brother's elementary school teacher marked his paper wrong because he said "boy" was a one syllable word. My mom had to actually go in and discuss it with her because she wouldn't give him the points back. "It's bo-wee" she said. Whoa.
Ha! When I first moved to NC kids at school had me say the word "ham" over and over again because it was so hilarious. Apparently that, too, is a two syllable word.
Yes! When I moved here at the beginning of 8th grade, I missed 3 spelling words out of 20 on a spelling test because I had no idea what the teacher was even asking me to spell. lol! :) I couldn't understand what she was saying!
When I move up to Chicago, I swore that I would never call soda by it's more northern slang of "pop", however... I find myself only saying pop now and soda even sounds weird. What have I become?
